Seen here is the north platform of the Riverside Illinois Metra commuter rail station. The north platform serves the Westbound local commuter trains, the center track is for Express trains and fast freight trains, while the south platform serves all eastbound local commuter trains to the city of Chicago. The village of Riverside Illinoisis very picturesque in the Autum.

Riverside station has always been a great place to go railfanning with a camera in hand. I bet that this place must have been something else in the pre 1970 Chicago, Burlingtom & Quincy Railroad times.
