A grand Trunk Western freight train has just left the Belt Railway of Chicago Clearing Yard in southwest suburban Bedford Park Illinois, and is now negotiating the interchange curve at Hayford Junction. The train will then proceed southbound over the GTW Rails. I took this photo one early Saturday afternoon in January of 1987. The entire city of Chicago and the surrounding area had experienced an all morning snowstorm that day. It just ended before I showed up with My camera to take this photo.Welcome to my rail fan page! Here you'll find information and pictures of railroad related items from the Chicagoland area, Wisconsin and Indiana. Enjoy your stay. All Aboard!
