The Chicago Botanic Garden. Glencoe Illinois USA. Wednsday, September 15th, 2010.

With an 0-6-0T sadle tank steam locomotive and colorful open coaches in tow, this G Scale model train looks every bit like a tourist railroad train in miniature.

0-6-0 T saddle tank steam locomotives, were primarilly used as industrial in plant switchers, and mostly did not leave the industrial property they worked on.

There were exceptions, as a small handful of shortline railroads used these on their light road trains. These locomotives were good for working in tight locations with sharp curves on industrial property.

To some extent, their small proportions make them readilly available to be trucked to other railroad museums, for operating visits during special events.
