A lovely place to consider visiting in Chicago's northern suburbs, is the very scenic Chicago Botanic Garden in the town of Glencoe Illinois.
Natural outdoor beauty is everywhere out here in their many lovely gardens on the property. It is definately a colorful place here in the greater Chicagoland area.
