Black River & Western #60, November 3, 2000

I found this railfan video on You Tube.

The Black River & Western Railroad, is a freight hauling tourist railroad that operates between the towns of Ringoes and Flemington New Jersey. Locomotive # 60, is a Baldwin 2-8-0 steam locomotive, that originally operated for the freight hauling shortline Great Western Railroad, which was operated by the Great Western Sugar Company based in Loveland Colorado.

After the Great Western ceased using their steam locomotives in 1964, locomotive # 60's next home, was hailing tourist on the Black River & Western Railroad in New Jersey.

This video was photographed in early November of 2000, shortly before engine # 60 was removed from service, and dismantled for a lenghty mechanical overhaul.

This coal burning steam locomotive has sonce returned to service.
