Early CSX train with former Chessie System locomotives. Alsip Illinois. May 1988.

Just recently, I discovered several railfan photographs that I had taken during the mid to late 1980's , and somehow forgot about them.

After many years in storage, I am posting several of my "Lost" Chicago area railfan photographs from the 1980's here at Eddie's Railfan Page.

I took this photograph way back in May of 1988.

A northbound early CSX Transportation Company freight train being led by recently acquired former Chessie System locomotives, is viewed passing through south suburban Alsip Illinois over the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad south of West 115th Street along the east side of South Cicero Avenue.
