I took this photograph, way back in January of 1990.

Big changes were coming to the southwest side of Chicago, as the future Chicago Transit Authority's orange line rapid transit was now under construction.

I took this photograph facing west / northwest near West 59th Street. Seen here is the future site of the Midway Airport terminal. rail yard, and maintenance facility under construction.
