One of my personal happy memories from the 1980's, were the many visits with my family to the old 1950's era seasonal Dairy Queen soft serve ice cream store on South Kedzie Avenue in the town of Evergreen Park Illinois.

It was at this location just south of West 95th Street, where I had tried my first D Q Blizzard during the mid to late 1980's.

This location always had a line going out to the curb on hot summer days. During the off season, the windows were always boarded up. As I seam to recall, this location opened every years in the month of March.
