A 1960's era Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad local freight crossing the Missisippi River lift bridge model., a photo by Eddie from Chicago on Flickr.
I took this photograph last week, at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers,H.O Scale Model Railroad Club.
My Bachman model of a 1950's era Alco S 4 yard switcher diesel electric locomotive, pulls a 1960's era switching local freight train from the former Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad across the Missisippi River railroad lift bridge on the club layout.
Although the prototype Santa Fe had switched to a blue and yellow color scheme on their freight locomotives by 1960, my model represents one that did not get painted right away, and spent part of the 1960's wearing the Santa Fe's black and silver 1950's era color scheme in everyday service.
