I took this photogrtaph way back in May of 1987.
I grew up in Chicago during the 1960's and 70's era, and was delightfully surprised to see this unplanned scene right out of the 1970's in person, during a visit to Hayford Junction.
Locomotives in the background from the former C & O and the 1972 succesor railroad Chessie System, and a faded jade green Penn Central box car coupled on for good measure, really took me back in time! Wow! What a great time to have that 35 mm camera at the ready.
