I took this photograph one very bitterly cold winter morning, back in January of 2007.
We are on location out in the open, at a busy Chicago area rail junction at the Chicago city limits along the border of Cicero Illinois, at a place known as Hawthorne Junction.
A northbound Iowa, Chicago & Eastern train traveling over the Belt Railway of Chicago tracks, slowly approaches the Canadian National ex Illinois Central crosstracks at the junction.
