Petticoat Junction. Cannonball Christmas. 1963.

One of my earliest influences that led to me to eventually  becoming a "Railfan"  when I was
growing up during the 1960's and 70's, was the old CBS television show Petticoat Junction.
This little small town TV sit com which featured a little one car passenger train with a cosmetically backdated western movie type steam locomotive that was built in the early 1890's, aired from
1962 until 1970.

I seemed to recall, that there was a Christmas holiday themed show, in which the train known
as "The Hooterville Cannonball", was all decked out with Christmas tree lights, decorations,
and the passengers all singing Christmas carols as the train traveled in to the night.

Here it is courtesy of You Tube.
