Winter sunset in Chicago. January 2007.

This colorful photo of a winter sunset sky, was taken on location at the Metra Cicero / Grand Avenue commuter rail station on Chicago's northside. I had just left work for the evening, and decided to see this lovely but cold winter sunset firsthand. Just like the 1950's Doo Wop music vocal group called The Platters would sing ... "Heavenly shades of night are falling -
It's Twilight Time.

There is a reference in the song about "when
Purple colored curtains mark the end of day".
It has happened here. A lovely days ending.
