I took this photo looking through My cars front windshield on a hot summer day in june of 2007. I was heading westbound on West Belmont Avenue near South Pulaski Road, when I heard the sirens and spotted the flashing lights of an approaching Chicago Fire Department truck responding to an emergency call. The large Florsheim Shoe Company factory building in the background at West Belmont Avenue and North Pulaski Road, has now been converted to loft style apartments.
