On Saturday, August 1st 2009, the northwest suburban village of Franklin Park Illinois was the place to find visiting preserved Southern Pacific 4-8-4 GS-4 Class Daylight steam locomotive # 4449 on display. Seen here, is an up close view of the locomotives 4 wheel trailing truck and oil burning firebox. There are many mechanical details to be seen here at the display site.
