I took this colorful photo after work one summer afternoon, in June of 2007.
The Canadian National is now in charge of this little freight yard along the former Illinois Central RR Iowa Division Mainline today. Seen here are former Grand Trunk Western and Illinois Central diesel locomotives acquired through merger, at work inside Crawford Yard. The large Commonwealth Edison, Crawford Generating Power Station on South Pulaski Road looms over in the background.
