I found this now historic early 1980's era photograph from the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad at My Link Page Fallen Flags.Org, wich is located to the right of our computer screen at www.rr-fallenflags.org

Photographer Dennis Schmidt, captured this image at the IHB Blue Island Illinois yard, on August 17th, 1982.

During the early 1980's, the IHB was still operating most of their road ,yard and transfer trains with rebuilt EMD first generation 1950's era model NW 2 switchers as they did for many years.

The 2nd locomotive, is wearing an experimental orange color scheme the IHB introduced in 1980. This original orange color scheme, is very plain compared to todays wich was introduced by the IHB in 2005.
