This photo was E Mailed to Me recently, by Mr Robert Pitunjac from the Clear Ridge Historical Society of Chicago.
One of My favorite now forgotten little amusement park's from Chicago's past, was a place known as Playland Park in southwest suburban Justice Illinois near Willow Springs.
This photo that was proboubly taken during the 1950's or 60's from on top of one of the park's tall rides, gives one an idea about how small, quaint but very fun this amusement park really was.
Playland Park closed for good after the sudden and untimely death of the owner in the fall of 1979.
Today, the old Playland Park site, is now the Sterling Estates trailer park .
Thanks Robert.
