I took this photo recently, in northwest suburban Des Plaines Illinois USA.
Seen here just north of the intersection of First and North Avenues just west of downtown Des Plaines, is Deval Junction and tower.
This railroad junction, controls train traffic on the Metra / Union Pacific northwest line to Harvard Illinois ( Formerly C & N,W), and the Canadian National ex Wisconsin Central Metra northern central commuter line to Antioch Illinois.
