The Central Illinois Railroad wich was leasing the BNSF Railway owned ex Burlington Northern RR industrial branchline in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood, was having a special
"Open House" public relations event aimed at local railfan photographers.

The Central Illinois Railroad had just recently repainted this former Belt Railway of Chicago EMD SW 1200 yard switcher # 1206, in to 1950's era Chicago, Burlington & Quincy colors. C,B & Q switchers in this color scheme, switched this line prior to 1970.
