I found this historic photograph from the Grand Trunk Western Railroad at My Link page Fallen Flags.Org, located to the right of Your computer screen at www.rr-fallenflags.org

The Grand Trunk Western Railroad was one of the last railroads in North America, to operate steam locomotives in daily revenue service, operating their last ones in 1961.
This GTW U.S.R.A (United States Railway Administration / World War 1 era) light 2-8-2 Mikado type steam locomotive, was photographed by Dennis Schmidt on July 19th, 1956 at Pontiac Michigan. These were standard freight service locomotives that would occasionally pull passenger trains on the GTW when needed.
