The Hillside Public Library located at 405 Hillside Avenue in west suburban Hillside Illinois, welcomes local Chicago historian Edward Kwiatkowski to the library on Saturday, February 25th, 2012 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM in the downstairs meeting room.

Eddie will be showing His own homemade musical photo slideshow about the history of public transit in Chicago entitled"When Chicago Rode the Streetcars!"

This video features many old photographs of Chicago taken during the electric streetcar era, and is set to authentic historic period music ranging from Ragtime Piano, Dixieland Jazz, and 1940's era Big Band Standards.

If You or someone You know had grown up in the city of Chicago Illinois prior to the end of CTA electric streetcar operations in June of 1958, then You won't want to miss this historic presentation at the Hillside Public Library.
