Playland Park. (Gone.) Justice Illinois USA.

This photo was sent to Me recently, by Mr Robert Pitunjac from the Clear Ridge Historical Society of Chicago Illinois.

Many years ago, there were once many amusement parks to visit in the greater Chicagoland area.

One of those seasonal family owned and operated little amusement parks, was a place located in unincorporated southwest suburban Justice Illinois known as Playland Park.

Playland Park, was located along the north frontage road of the Illinois U.S Route # 294 Tri State Tollway, just west of Rt # 171 / Archer Road, near the town of Willow Springs Illinois.

A popular attraction for parents with little children at Playland Park during the 1950's and 60's era, was the Pony rides.

Playland Park closed at the end of the 1979 season, after the sudden and untimely death of the park's owner. Today, this old amusement park site, is the Sterling Estates Mobile Home Park.

Thanks.
