Southbound Conrail light engine move. Brighton Junction. Chicago Illinois. January 1988., a photo by Eddie from Chicago on Flickr.
I took this photo on a sunny but yet cold and windy Saturday afternoon, back in January of 1988.
A southbound three unit set of Conrail locomotives running light, are viewed passing through Chicago's historic Brighton Junction near South Archer and Western Avenues in Chicago Illinois.
The old manual steam era Semaphore signals, the operator's little shanty and even Conrail itself, are all long gone now.
