Eddie will be hosting a multi media musical photo slideshow, video and lecture presentation about the early years of the Chicago Transit Authority. Begining with it's official start up of operations on October 1st 1947 after acquiring the assetts and equipment of the predecesor companies known as the Chicago Surface Lines Company and the Chicago Rapid Transit Company, see how today's CTA system evolved from a non standard "Hodge Podge" mix of equipment ranging from electric streetcars, vintage rapid transit cars dating back to the 1920's and even earlier, propane fueled buses, electric trolley buses, as well as old gasoline powered small transit buses, and early diesel powered transit buses.

See Chicago the way it once was through vintage photographs, old home movies on video, and a tasteful selection of authentic historic period music ranging from Ragtime Piano, Dixieland Jazz, 1940's era Big Band Standards, and early 1960's era Modern Jazz.

And of course.....Admission is free.
