"The Oak Park Daylight". Operating on the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers, H.O Scale Model Railroad Club., a photo by Eddie from Chicago on Flickr.
The Southern Pacific Railroad's famous "Daylight" orange red and black passenger train color scheme which was used by the S P from the late 1930's until approximately 1955, is still popular today amongst many model railroad enthusiasts.
I took this photograph last year, at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers,H.O Scale Model Railroad Club.
Fellow club member Martin, enjoys occasionally operating his own S P Daylight passenger train on the club layout, complete with this model of a 1941 era Lima Locomotive Works S P model G S 4 Daylight streamlined 4-8-4 steam locomotive up front.
