Chicagoland railroading during the Febuary 2007 deep freeze. Summit Illinois USA. Febuary 2007.

I took this photo looking north from Archer Road U.S Route # 171 in Summit Illinois.
It was a nasty bone chilling 6 above zero farenheight with a windchill advisory, when I took this photo on location. Chicago was experiencing a dangerous "Deep Freeze" condition back in Febuary of 2007. Water main pipes were breaking below street leval in many areas, and people were advised to avoid prolonged exposure to the elements outside.
Through it all, it was business as usual for the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad, seen here switching cars at Argo Yard.
