Westbound CTA "Pink line" train leaving the Kostner Avenue station. Chicago Illinois USA. Late April 2007.

I took this photo after work one day, in late April of 2007. I was fortunate enough to have a front row seat i directly in front of the crossing gate.
It appears that the trains motorman has spotted Me taking a snapshot from My cars open window.
I guess that us railfans aren't too common here.

The train is just approximately 6 blocks from the Chicago city limits, at the border of Cicero Illinois.

Hi.
No, the new "Pink Line", is actually the old "Douglas Park Elevated" from years ago. In recent times, it was the south branch of the "Blue"line, wich terminated AT west Cermak Road and south 54th Avenue in Cicero Illinois. The line used to run all the way to O'Hare International Airport in Rosemont Illinois.

Todays Blue line Terminates at the Des Plaines Avenue station in Forest Park Illinois, and goes to O'Hare International Airport via downtown Chicago -Logan Square -and the Kennedy Expressway I-90.

The new "Pink" line, is actually an incanation of the old Douglas Park elevated. It goes to downtown Chicago and back, it also utilizes the Paulina Connector near the United Center.

Thank You.
Eddie.
