Pittsburgh Railways streamlined PCC streetcar working the Library line during the wintertime. Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. 1960's ?

I found this beautiful winter scene of a Pittsburgh Railways electric streetcar operating on the Library line, possibly during the 1960's or 70's era, in the city of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. This photograph appears via the Steven M Scalzo Collection, at my Link page Dave's Electric Railroads, which is located to the right of your computer screen at www.davesrailpix.com.

The city of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, is located in a very hilly setting in western Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh for many years, was a big time user of electric city streetcars. The hills overlooking Pittsburgh, made for some lovely lineside scenery, and gave a very country like interurban railway setting along the Pittsburgh Railways right of way. This photograph has the look and feel of a seasonal Christmas Holiday greeting card image.

Thanks.
