The event will take place at the Downers Grove Public Library, which is located at 1050 Curtis Street in downtown west suburban Downers Grove Illinois.
This presentation features several vintage color and black and white photographs of Chicago's once many electric city streetcars from the Chicago Surface Lines Company, as well as those from the succesor company Chicago Transit Authority after 1947. The streetcar era is covered from the early horse drawn days of the 1850's, until the end of the electric streetcar era in June of 1958. The early days of the current Chicago Transit Authority is also featured here including the electric trolleybuses as well.
This will be a fun event, and We hope to see you there!

Come aboard for a nostalgic transit ride down memory lane in the windy city as it was.
