I took this photograph last night after work.
A well used but nicely maintained GMC snowplow truck from the Niles Public Services Company, idles in a local parking lot during a blizzard. The operator was proboubly awaiting instructions from His dispatcher or supervisor prior to attacking the snow and slush covered roads with a good concentration of road salt.
Chicago had experienced a heavy all day lake effect snowstorm, that had dumped 10 inches of snow around the greater Chicagoland area.
Luckilly, the roads were all cleared by daybreak.
