The 14 inch guage train. The Hesston Steam Museum. Hesston Indiana USA. August 2005.

The demonstration railroad operations are quiete varied at the Hesston Steam Museum. There are the large dual guage (2ft and 3ft) narrow or Meter guage trains -there is a 14 inch guage demonstration train ride -and a miniature
7 and i/2 inch guage live steam rail line too.
The 14 inch guage train is normally pulled by
a 4-6-4 Hudson type steam locomotive or a
4 -4 -0 American Type turn of the century
replica locomotive. On My August 2005 visit...
they were also using this homemade "Boxcab"
early diesel locomotive. This locomotive is normally used on the 14 inch guage Maintenance
of way train, used in museum support operations. Track does have to be ballasted too.
