Chicago, North Shore & Milwaukee RR silverliner coach. The Fox River Trolley Museum. South Elgin Illinois USA. May 1983.

This electric interurban coach originally travelled daily between Chicago Illinois and Milwaukee Wisconsin, on the Chicago, North Shore & Milwaukee Railroad. This railroad's cars were allso equipped with 3rd rail shoes, and had entered and departed downtown Chicago Illinois via the CTA elevated rapid transit lines. That silver fluting on the sides is actually "Painted On" to look like modern streamliner equipment.
This was done by the company in 1950 to modernize it's image. The C,N S,& M was bankrupt in it's final years, and ended all operations in January of 1963.

Eddie,
Hello, I am Janet Gonyo (friend of Tom Gill) I would like to invite you to come to the museum in summer.
This silverliner is car 756 and I have restored the washroom and am working on the arm rests with only 7 to go. This spring and summer it will be getting a new roof which will take most of the summer. 756 is a wonderful car, ride is great and the horns are the best. Come take ride with us.
