I took this photo from n Elston Ave on Chicago's far northwest side. Seen here at the CTA Forest Glen garage facility at n Elston and w Bryn Mawr Avenues, is the newest transit bus addition to the CTA fleet. This is a 2006 Optimus -Opus 30 Ft transit coach photographed in January of 2007. They look a lot like the 40 Ft Nova buses as they have common structural window and roof details.Until I found out that these buses were made by the company known as "Optimus"...I had mistakenly referred to them as "Baby Nova's".
Buses 30 feet or less in lenght like this are referred to by bus fans as "Baby Buses".
