The Rock Island Lives!Well...at least in unrepainted form anyway.
I photographed this pleasant surprise rolling through town on an eastbound Canadian Pacific freight train in December 2006.
The Chicago,Rock Island & Pacific Railroad was very bankrupt and went out of business in the year of 1980. This was their "Last" color scheme, wich hails from the mid 1970's.
