December in Chicago started out with a heavy snowstorm, with 12 inches of snow predicted on December 1st 2006. Within 2 weeks...The weather turned unseasonably warm, the heavy snow melted, and the last weeks of december looked and felt more like March instead.I took this photograph on location in northwest suburban Franklin Park Illinois just before the Christmas holiday. A colorful red two unit set of diesels are leaving nearby Bensenville Yard with a large freight train and heading east past 25th
Avenue.
