I was passing through the area of Archer and Western Avenues on Chicago's southwest side, on an overcast morning in October of 2006.A southbound CSX Transportation intermodal train has recieved clearance from the dispatcher, and is proceeding south across the Canadian National's former Illinois Central crosstracks.
The lead locomotive is painted in the CSX
"Dark Future" color sceme that was introduced a few years ago, while the other units are in the earlier CSX scheme that hails from the 1980's.
