I took this photo looking west on 123rd Street, in the south suburban village of Alsip Illinois. This was a cloudy springtime sunday afternoon in the year of 1990, and occasional rain showers did fall on this particular day. The ringing of crossing gate signals and tooting of locomotive air horns, interupted the silence of a quiet sunday afternoon in Alsip. The blue and red GTW locomotives in a recent paint job, helped to add color to an otherwise gray afternoon.Monday, June 25, 2007
