Shoo birds! Belt Railway of Chicago track maintenance crews passing through Hayford Junction. Chicago Illinois USA. April 1987.

A large flock of pidgeons became startled and immediate took flight, as a westbound Belt Railway of Chicago track maintenance department crew movement, is seen passing through Hayford Junction. Hayford Junction is located at West 75th Street and South Central Park Avenue in Chicago's Ashburn neighborhood.
The large maintenance battalion is seen passing over the Grand Trunk Western Railroad crosstracks, enroute to Clearing Yard in nearby Bedford Park Illinois. The large tan buildings in the background , is the Nabisco plant. The bridge in the far background to the right, is South Kedzie Avenue. On any given visit to Hayford Junction...The Nabisco plant fills the air with the smell of freshly baking cookies.
