I took this photo facing east on 71st Street, in southwest suburban Bridgeview Illinois. I spotted this trio of ex Milwaukee Road Hi Cube boxcars, traveling northbound on an Indiana Harbor Belt transfer freight train. The area east of the crossing gates, was primarilly industrial back in September of 1989, and the Toyota Park Stadium project would still be several years away. Todays Toyota Park Stadium is built on property formerly owned by the defunct Consolidated Freightways trucking company at the corner of South Harlem Avenue / Illinois U.S Route # 43, and West 71st Street in Bridgeview Illinois.Welcome to my rail fan page!
