Yes, these sub compact locomotives do operate. And just like their prototypes of decades ago, they are fast, powerfull, and have torque to pull heavy loads of visiting adults.

These miniature live steam locomotives operate on trackage that is only 7 and 1/2 inches wide, hence 7 and 1/2 inch guage.

The locomotives that are shown here, operate using coal and water, and just like their prototypes, they can occasionally spew some smoke going upgrade under load conditions.
