Preserved early 1900's era Browning steam powered rail crane. The Hesston Steam Museum. Hesston Indiana USA.

I didn't take this particular photo, as it is actually a picture postcard that I had purchased in the museum gift shop.

One of the many operating vintage pieces of steam equipment demonstrated occasionally at the Hesston Steam Museum, is this fully restored Browning rail crane. This verticle boilered coal fired steam crane, is located adjacent to the museum's operating steam powered sawmill that is used on special occasions. The crane is used to lift and move large logs at the museum sawmill site.
