I was only 8 years old and growing up in My old near southwest side Chicago neighborhood, when this photo was taken at Joliet Illinois way back in August of 1970.The former Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad, was always one of My favorites when I was growing up in Chicago Illinois back then.
The General Electric model U 33C roadswitcher locomotive shown here, is wearing the 1960's era Santa Fe blue with yellow ends color scheme, wich the A,T & S,F painted their freight locomotives in from 1960 until 1972.
