Historic photo! A Chicago Transit Authority mid 1950's era Flxible Twin Coach Company propane powered transit bus. Chicago Illinois USA. July 1969.

I found this very historic late 1960's era Chicago Transit Authority photograph at My Link page" Northern California Bus Fans" located to the right of Your computer screen at www.norcalbusfans.com

I was born in Chicago Illinois USA during the year of 1962, and I have happy childhood memories of riding the remaining CTA 1950's era Flxible Twin Coach Company propane transit buses during their final years of operation in the windy city.

This photo was taken on location in downtown Chicago Illinois USA, during July of 1969.

We are facing north at the intersection of North State and West Lake Streets. A Chicago Transit Authority Route # 36 Broadway State bus enroute to 119th and Morgan on the far southside of the city, passes underneath the CTA Lake Street Elevated line.

This photo brings back many happy memories of going to downtown Chicago with My family during the 1960's and early 1970's.

Thanks.
