One of several bowling ball racks inside of Bleeker's Bowl. EvergreenPark Illinois. (The last day.) Saturday, August 10th, 2013.

I took this photograph this past Saturday afternoon, while casually passing through south suburban Evergreen Park Illinois.

With the big local news story in Evergreen Park these days about the closing of Bleeker's Bowl on West 95th Street, I just had to park the car and go take a last look.

It just so happened to be the last day of operation here, which was also billed as "The Last Blast". Scenes like this metal rack of bowling balls, will be greatly missed by the many local Evergreen Park residents, and nearby locals from the surrounding suburbs and the southside of Chicago who bowled here for decades.

Bleeker's Bowl may be gone, but most certainly not forgotten. It was a fun place.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
