I took this photo looking northwest from the railroad crossing on West 26th Street near South Harlem Avenue / Illinois U.S Route # 43 , in west suburban North Riverside Illinois.This is a rare photograph of a short lived regional railroad that was known as the Chicago, Central & Pacific Railroad. The C,C & P -was actually the former Illinois Central Iowa Division mainline. It was sold in 1985, bought back in 1996, and acquired by the Canadian National in 1999.
