I took this photo on a hot summer morning, in July of 2007. A westbound Canadian Pacific transfer train is heading westbound over the Belt Railway of Chicago, and is crossing the single crosstrack Canadian National ex Grand trunk western line at Hayford Junction. We are looking north at the crosstrack and interchange junction. The train is enroute to Clearing Yard in southwest suburban Bedford Park Illinois near Chicago Midway Airport. Hayford Junction is located at West 75th Street and South Central Park Avenue in Chicago's Ashburn neighborhood.Wednesday, February 20, 2008
