I took this photo on a cold but dry Febuary afternoon in 1985. An eastbound CTA Douglas Park rapid transit train is seen stopping at the modern 1978 vintage Cicero Avenue rapid transit station in west suburban Cicero Illinois. The Chicago Transit Authority began a program of using color codes on the various rapid transit lines during the 1990's. After the transition to color codes, the original Douglas Park line became the Blue line. This line and the Congress Park line were both known as the Blue Line. Within the last two years, the old Douglas Park Elevated line became the Pink Line.Welcome to my rail fan page!
