The largest and inded the most powerful steam locomotive that operates at The Hesston Steam Museum, is Oregon Lumber Company three foot guage Shay locomotive # 7. This locomotive was originally built in 1927 by the Lima Locomotive Works of Lima Ohio, for the New Mexico Lumber Company. It later worked for The Oregon Lumber Company. The water tank tender on Shay locomotive # 7, is lettered for both logging railroads.
