The Oak Park Society of Model Engineers H.O Scale Model Railroad Club. Oak Park Illinois USA. March 2011.

I took this photo back in March, at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers H.O Scale Model Railroad Club.

One of the more colorful and modern railroad box car paint jobs of the past, was this bright red Canadian Pacific example from the late 1960's era.

By the late 1960's, the Canadian Pacific Railroad really wanted to modernize their corporate image. Introduced in 1968, this bright red color scheme with the unusual "Pac Man" style logo to the left of the box car, replaced a plain and simple 1950's era brown box car image with a small logo.
This was known as the Canadian Pacific "Multi Mark" logo, and lasted for many years until eventual replacement during the 1990's.

When this image was introduced in 1968, Atari, Pac Man and video games in general, were actually "Not" invented yet. The Pac Man look was a pure coincidence.
